太阳快下山了，牧羊人一声吆喝，赶着羊群回家去。有只脖子上挂铃铛的小绵羊，生性顽皮，趁大伙不注意，悄悄离开了羊群，独自在草原上玩。 忽然，一只大灰狼出现在他的身后，小绵羊吓得拼命跑。可是大灰狼三两步就把他捉着了。 大灰狼张大了口，眼看就要把小绵羊吃了，这只头脑挺精灵的小绵羊说： “狼大哥呀，我刚吃饱，肚里的草还未消化，你这时候吃我，味道又酸又苦呢！ ” 狼觉得奇怪，说：“小东西，反正我不怕你跑了！你说说，该怎么吃？ ” 小绵羊说：“你让我跳跳舞，使肚里的青草快速消化，你吃了才觉得味道美妙。” 狼点点头说：“也有道理，你跳舞吧！ ” 小绵羊解下脖子上的铃铛，交给狼，说：“狼大哥，你用力摇铃铛吧，这样我才可以跳得更起劲！ ” 狼摇起铃铛，“丁铃铃，丁铃铃……”小绵羊随着铃声跳起舞来。 小绵羊说：“再用力摇，声音越大，我跳得越快，消化得也越快呀！ ” 大灰狼使出全身力气，拼命摇着铃铛。 铃铛声随风飘到牧羊人的耳中，他马上想到小绵羊有危险了！ 牧羊人带着几只猎狗飞跑过去解救。大灰狼见势不妙，赶紧扔掉铃铛逃走了。 哲理： 小绵羊志在拖延时间，以时间换取机会。遇问題时，要学习小绵羊的临机应变；碰到得心应手的事时，不要像狼一样得意忘形。 The Wolf That Rang the Bell It was getting dark. A shepherd started to shoo his sheep back home. A naughty lamb with a bell around her neck left the flock quietly without being noticed. The playful lamb had fun in the field on her own. Suddenly, a giant wolf appeared behind the lamb and seized her. As the wolf opened his mouth wide, the smart little lamb quickly said, “Brother wolf, I’ve just overloaded my stomach with grass. Would you please wait for a minute? If you eat me now, I will taste bitter and sour!” The puzzled wolf asked, “Tell me, how am I supposed to eat you? The lamb answered, “Let me dance for a while so that the grass in my stomach digests faster and tastes better when you eat me.” The wolf agreed to wait. The lamb then removed the bell from her neck and passed it to the wolf.
