蛇和喜鹊攀了亲，蛇认喜鹊做姐姐，小喜鹊管蛇叫舅舅。 一天，蛇被人砍成两段死了。喜鹊见了很伤心。它飞到天河里衔了一块泥，把蛇接起来。又飞到天河里含了一口水，洒在蛇的伤口上，蛇活了过来，伤口也好了。 蛇说：“姐姐呀，姐姐呀！谢谢你救了我。让我帮你看家吧。” 喜鹊说：“那再好不过了。有舅舅看着我的宝宝们，我就不用担心它们了。” 喜鹊用嘴叼着蛇，把它送到了喜鹊窝。喜鹊对宝宝们说：“亲爱的孩子们，舅舅来看你们了！” 喜鹊出去觅食了。蛇却把小喜鹊们一个个吞掉，然后假装睡着了。 一会儿后，喜鹊把食物送回来喂宝宝。进窝一看，三个小喜鹊一个都不见了。喜鹊把蛇叫醒：“孩子他舅，孩子他舅，我的宝宝呢？” 蛇回答说，“我刚才迷迷糊糊睡着了。啊呀，孩子们呢？” 喜鹊在天空中转了又转，叫了又叫，可是它哪里找得到小喜鹊！后来它就回到窝里哭了起来。 蛇说：“姐姐呀，姐姐呀，别难过了。以后你添了小宝宝，我一定给你好好看着。” 喜鹊朝蛇看了看，发现蛇嘴上有一根小绒毛，再看看蛇肚子，胀鼓鼓的，还一拱一拱地动呢。 喜鹊说：“哦，对了，孩子他舅，我还没给你的伤口换药呢！” “是啊。”蛇说，“我肚疼得要裂开了！” 喜鹊说我去拿药。喜鹊飞到山上把爪子磨得很锋利，一翅膀飞了回来。 喜鹊说：“孩子他舅，孩子他舅，你闭上眼睛，我替你换药。” 蛇闭上了眼睛，喜鹊用爪子在蛇肚上一划，蛇肚子裂开来，三个小喜鹊一个个逃出来了。 喜鹊把蛇叼起来，展翅飞上了高空，把蛇狠狠地摔了下去。 蛇死了，喜鹊飞回了家，放心地喂养它的宝宝们。 Magpie and Snake Claimed Kinship to Each Other Snake and Magpie claimed kinship；Snake called Magpie sister and the young of Magpie called Snake uncle. Entering the nest，it found the three young missing. It awakened Snake, “Uncle，Uncle “where are my children?” Snake replied，“I was having a nap. Oh，where are the young?” Magpie flew round in the sky，cried and cried, but how could it find them! It then went back to the nest and cried. Snake said，“Sister, Sister，don’t be sad. Magpie said，“Oh，Uncle，I haven’t changed medicine for your wound!” “I see,” said the snake, “I feel so painful in my belly that it seems to be breaking!” “I，m going to fetch some medicine. ” Magpie flew to a mountain and sharpened its claws on a stone before it flapped back home. “Uncle，Uncle, close your eyes and let me change medicine for you. ” said Magpie. Snake closed its eyes. Magpie cut open Snake’s belly with its sharpened claws, and the three young got out. Carrying Snake in its mouth，Magpie flew high and then threw it hard downward.
