从前，有一个人有四个儿子。四个儿子从未停止过争吵。他总是劝说孩子们如果他们可以齐心协力，生活会更轻松。但他们根本就充耳不闻。一天，他决定向孩子表明他的苦心。 他把孩子都叫到一起，将一把捆得紧紧的木棒放在他们面前。 "你能折断它吗？”他问最小的儿子。小儿子把木棒顶在膝盖上,但无论怎样下压，用胳膊拉，木棒都没有弯。父亲让每个孩子轮番试了试，都没人能够折断它。 然后，他揭开木棒，散落在地上。 “现在，再试试。"他说，孩子们用手轻而易举地就折断了木棒。 “明白我的用心了吧？”父亲说，“只要你们齐心协力，没人能伤害你们。但如果你们总是意见相左、自行其是,随便一个敌人都能摧毁你们。” 合则立，分则亡。 A man had four was telling them A man had four sons who never stopped quarrelling with one another. The father asked each son in turn to try to break the bundle, but none of them could do it. Then he united the string and scattered the sticks. 14Now, try it.” He said. The boys broke the sticks easily in their hands. “Do you see what I mean?” asked the father, “if only you stand togeth r no one can hurt you. If you all disagree the whole time and insist on going your separ^^te ways, the first enemy you meet will be able to destroy you. ” |
