一个州政府工作人员坐在办公室里，因为觉得太无聊，就决定看看他那个旧档案橱里有什么东西。他把里面的东西翻了个遍，突然发现了一盏铜灯。他想：“如果把这盏灯放到我的 壁炉架上肯定特别漂亮。’’于是，他把这盏灯带回了家。 他擦灯的时候，里面变出来一个妖怪，并答应实现他三个愿望。“我想马上要一杯冰凉的百事可乐！ ”噗！ 一杯百事可乐出现在了他面前的桌子上，他拿起来，一口气全喝完了。 现在他可以好好想想了，于是他说出了他的第二个愿望："我希望变成一个非常富有的人，有着花不完的钱。”噗！突然,他住到了一个配有豪华家具的金碧辉煌的房子里，有着很多很多钱。之后他又对妖怪说了他的第三个愿望,也就是他的最后一个愿望？‘我希望从此以后可以不用再工作了。”噗！他又回到了他的政府办公室里。 Three Wishes A State Government Employee sits in his office and out of boredom, decides to see what’s in his old filing cabinet. He pokes through the contents and comes across an old brass lamp. “This would look nice on my mantelpiece. ” he thinks, so he takes it home with him. While polishing the lamp, a genie appears and grants him three wishes. “I wish for an ice cold Pepsi right now!” POOF! A Pepsi appears before him on his desk, so he picks it up and guzzles it all at once. Now that he can think more clearly, he states his second wish. “I wish to be a very rich man with a huge amount of money. ” POOF! Suddenly he is in a magnificent house with luxurious furniture, possessing a lot of money. He then tells the genie his third and last wish： “I wish I’d never have to work ever again. ’’ POOF! He’s back in his government office。 |
