The Wild Boar That Sharpened His Tusks
It was a fine day. The birds were chirping on the branches of the trees. A fox was walking about in the jungle. Suddenly, he heard a strange sound and saw a wild boar sharpening his tusks with a piece of stone.
The fox asked, “Hi, my dear friend, why are you sharpening your tusks? Since it is such a nice day, why aren’t you doing something more interesting?”
The wild boar did not bother with the fox. He continued sharpening his tusks.
The fox asked again, “I don’t see any danger. Everything is calm. There are no hunters, lions or even a bear walking around here. So, why are you busy sharp-ening your tusks?”
The wild boar now answered, “My dear Fox, do you think I sharpen my tusks just for fun? Or because I am bored?”
“So?” said the fox. “I don’t see any danger!”
"That is true,” answered the wild boar, “but I won’t have time to sharpen my tusks when I am really in danger. If I don’t get ready now, I will be in a lot of trouble later.”
When the fox heard the wild boar’s answer, he felt embarrassed and quickly left.
