北风和太阳是对好朋友。 可是有一天，他们为了争论谁的本领大而吵了起来。 北风说：“我的本领大，我只要轻轻一吹，人们全都冻得发抖。” 太阳说：“我的本领大，我只需悄悄一用力，人们全都热得出汗，大叫受不了。” 他们激烈地争论不休，谁也不服谁。 这时，路上有个行人在赶路。北风说：“我们俩谁能把这个人的外套脱下来，谁就算是本领强的一方。” 太阳同意了。先由北风开始。北风轻轻吸了一口气，吹了出去。行人忽然感觉很冷，于是把原来敞开的衣服扣紧。北风不服气，他深深地吸了一口气，鼓起腮帮子用力一吹。行人不但没有脱去衣服，反而把衣服裹得更紧，还把衣领竖起来挡风。 北风气坏了，他用尽全身力气一吹，嗖嗖的冷风，让行人缩起了脖子，把双臂抱在胸前，反而是要把衣服裹得更密实了。北风很气馁，终于放弃了。 太阳暗自好笑，说：“北风小弟，你还是瞧我的本领吧。” 太阳自云堆中走出来，他用力一照，温暖的光芒，即刻把寒冷驱散了。行人突然感到热了，他伸出双手，放下衣领，解开衣扣。 太阳再度使劲发出更热的光芒，行人热得浑身是汗，马上脱下了外套。可是阳光越来越热，行人不得不脱光衣服，“扑通”一声，跳进了路边的小河来躲避酷热的太阳。 太阳获胜了！ 哲理： 溫和渐进的手段比暴烈逼迫的手段有效.溫和的手段让对方在无防卫的状态中，不知不觉地接受你的意旨；而暴烈手段只会引起对方的抗拒，收到反效果. 所以，待人处世，还是像太阳比较好。 The North Wind and the Sum The north wind and the sun were good friends. One day, they were quarrelling over who was more powerful. The north wind said, “Of course I’m more powerful. Just a gentle blow and everybody will be shivering all over with cold.” The sun said, “Oh no, I，m more powerful. I just heat myself up a little bit and everybody will be sweating in no time!” Very soon, a man passed by. The north wind suggested, “Let，s see which of us can make him take off his coat. That one is the more powerful!” The sun agreed. The north wind started off by blowing out a breath of air slowly. The man felt cold and buttoned up his coat. The north wind took a deeper breath and blew harder. The man felt colder. He pulled the coat closer instead of taking it off. He even held the collar up against the bitter wind. The north wind was furious. This time around he blew with all its strength. The man couldn’t stand the chill. He tried to shrink into the coat and folded his arms on his chest. He was tugging the coat even closer to his body. The north wind finally conceded defeat. The sun sneered and said，“Now，brother wind, let me show you something •” He brushed away the cloud and shone all over. The sunlight drove away the chill and the man suddenly felt warm. He unfolded his arms, turned the collar down and unbuttoned his coat. The sun worked harder to produce more heat and light. The man, sweating all over now, removed his coat. Then he started to strip himself and jumped into the river nearby to cool off. And the winner was the sun! A gentle approach can be more effective than an aggressive one. |
