很久以前，森林里的野兽和鸟类经常互相战斗和争吵。每次经过一场猛烈的战斗后，两方都伤的伤，死的死。 只有蝙蝠从不参与战斗，却等着看哪一方取得胜利。 起先，鸟类战胜了野兽，蝙蝠就加人鸟类的阵营，跟他们一起飞，表示自己跟他们是同类；后来野兽转败为胜，蝙蝠就投向野兽，还把自己的牙齿和奶头出示给他们看，证明自己也是野兽，还信誓旦旦地表示热爱同类。 最后，鸟类把野兽打败，蝙蝠又飞到鸟类那边，但还没说话就被鸟群撵走了。 蝙蝠想回到野兽这边来，却被狮子的怒吼声赶走。 从此他两头不到岸，鸟类野兽一见他就赶，他只好躲在窟窿里，直到夜晚，当鸟类和野兽都入眠时才敢出来活动。 故事哲理： 做人做事要有自己的立场和主见，若看谁好就依附谁， 毫无立场，到头来必遭到众人的排斥，落得孤零零的命运。 The Bat That Took Sides A long time ago, the wild animals in the jungle were always fighting with the birds. In the end, the birds won the battle. The bat again flew off to join the birds. The birds, however, chased the bat away before he could say anything. Then the bat wanted to join the wild animals. However, the lion chased him away too. From that time onwards, the bat was not accepted by either group. He had to hide in caves during the day. He could only come out at night to look for food when the birds and the wild animals were asleep. A person who is not loyal to his friends cannot be trusted. |
