中英文小故事：最好的礼物 有一天，两个旅行者在金山脚下相遇。 “你好，年轻人，你要到什么地方去呀？”年龄大的那个问道c “到山里去，”年轻的旅行者回答说。 “那你要多加小心！那些山里有危险的人。他们不喜欢陌生人。 “别担心，"年轻人说。“我有枪。" ‘‘那倒不必，”年纪大的那个人说。“你不需要枪。我昨天去了那里。带一份礼物就行了。如果你带一份礼物，一切都会平安无事，我昨天去过那里，只带了一小包蚕豆，并将它们送给了首领。他对此非常高兴。他以前从来没有见过蚕豆。他一高兴就送给了我一小袋金子。” 年轻人听了非常激动。“噢，金子！太棒了！”他兴奋地说。 第二天早上，他准备了东西，就上山了。他为首领带了一份礼物一是一小袋碗豆。他很快就碰到那帮危险的人和他们的首领。年轻人忐忑不安地微笑着将那包碗豆送给了首领。首领看到那些碗豆，非常高兴。他哈哈大笑，又让那帮人看那些碗豆。随后，首领邀请年轻人跟他们一块吃饭。饭后，首领微微一笑，送给年轻人一个棕色小袋子。年轻人接住袋子，沿路飞快地下了山。走了大约一公里后，他停住脚步，迫不及待地想数那些金子。 他看了看四周，只有他一个人。他将小袋子放在地上，打开来。他是多么失望！袋子里没有金子，只有蚕豆。 The Best Gift One day two travelers met at the foot of the Golden Mountains. “Hello, young man. Where are you going?” asked the old one. “To the mountains,” replied the young traveler. “Be careful! There are dangerous men in those mountains. They don’t like strangers.” “Don’t worry,” said the young man. “I’ve got a gun. That's not necessary/' said the old man. “You don’t need any gun. I went there yesterday. Just take a present. If you take a present, everything will be all right. I went there yesterday. I just took a small bag of beans and gave them to the chief. He was very pleased with them. He had never seen beans before. He was so pleased that he gave me a small bag of gold.” The young traveler was very excited. “Oh, gold! Wonderful!” he said excitedly. The next morning he prepared his things and walked up the mountain. He took a present for the chief—a small bag of peas. Soon he met the dangerous men and their chief. The young traveler smiled nervously; and gave him the bag of peas. The chief was pleased with the peas. He laughed and showed them to his men. Then he invited the young man to eat with them. After the meal the chief smiled and gave the young traveler a small brown bag. The young man took the bag and went quickly down the road. After about a kilometer he stopped—he was impatient to count the gold. He looked all round. Now he was alone. He put the bag on the ground and opened it. How disappointing! There was no gold in the bag-only beans. |
