一位武士向一位禅师问道。 武士问：“天堂和地狱有什么区别？” 禅师反问：“你乃何人？” 武士答：“我是一名武士。” 禅师听后笑道：“你这粗鲁之人也配向我问道？” 武士勃然大怒，随手抽出佩剑，朝禅师砍去：“看我宰了你！” 眼看剑就要落在头上，禅师却不慌不忙轻声说道：“此乃地狱。” 武士猛然一惊，若有所悟，连忙丢剑，双手合十，叩头跪拜：“多谢师傅指点，请原谅我刚才的鲁莽。” 禅师又微微说道：“此乃天堂。” The Zen Master’s Enlightenment There was a warrior who sought enlightenment from a Zen master. The warrior asked, “What is the difference between paradise and hell?” The master retorted, “Who are you?” The warrior replied, “I am a warrior." Hearing this, the master said with a smile, “You swine, are you qualified to seek enlightenment from me?” The warrior flew into a rage, drew his sword and hacked at the master, Til kill you!” Seeing the sword would fall upon his head, the master whispered in no hurry, “This is the hell.” Suddenly startled, the warrior seemingly understood, dropped his sword and knelt and touched the forehead to the ground with his hands folded, “Thank you for your direction.
