London 伦敦 I agree with Samuel Johnson's oft-quoted "when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford," and while being able to afford London is no small feat, if you just walk the streets, the scent of the city, at least, is free. Mist, rain, peppermint, wet pavement. You can smell the Thames and leather seats and aged Persian rugs. Thank Christ, there's much less cigarette fumes these days.
