有一个财主，家里有很多老鼠，于是财主买了一条狼狗。狼狗很大，也很凶猛，可是家里的老鼠却越来越多了。财主很奇怪，请教他的邻居。邻居告诉财主：“你的狼狗肯定是一条好狗，可是狗是不抓老鼠的。只有猫才能抓老鼠。”

于是财主买了两只猫回来。过了一段时间，家里的老鼠越来越少了。又过了一段时间，一只老鼠都没有了。
